Designing differentiated examinations/assessment tasks for Stage 6 Computing

A model of a differentiated examination designed to build student confidence will be presented. The stages in the development of the task will be shown; from initial planning to gestation. The thinking which underpinned the development process will be explained. Participants will engage in discussion regarding the challenges of differentiation in senior computer subjects for both practical and theoretical assessments. Participants will be supported in the development of a differentiated task, provided with tips for writing differentiated assessments and the opportunity to engage in consistent teacher judgement marking.
