Creativity in Education is no longer an option, it’s an absolute necessity
From an industrial society to a knowledge based society and now to a creative society. This presentation challenges teachers and school administrators to keep up with societies changes or risk being irrelevant in the 21st Century.

Numeracy and literacy skills are important but not at the expense of the 5 C's creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, computational thinking and communication.

The role of the 21st century teacher is not to self-deliver content but to facilitate the understanding of key concepts and skills, cater for a range of learning styles and encourage the use of a range of tools that interconnect to help students construct learning and be creative.

Sir Ken Robinson says, “Creativity for me is not an option, it is an absolute necessity.” This presentation looks at some of the research surrounding the importance of creativity in education and provides samples of how creativity can be enhanced in the classroom using the modern communication tools provided by Adobe.

Mastering multimodal text with a range of Adobe solutions
The concept of using multimodal text in an important part of the Australian Curriculum (AC). Multimodal text is defined in the AC as a combination of two or more communication modes (for example, print, image and spoken text, as in film or computer presentations).

Adobe has a wide range of multimodal solutions that are regularly used by educators and students globally to enhance the education process. Examples include Adobe InDesign, a range of Adobe Photoshop solutions, Acrobat Pro, Adobe Voice, Adobe Clip, Adobe Slate, Premier Elements, Premier Pro, Adobe Presenter, Edge Animate, Adobe Muse and others.

This workshop/presentation looks at some of these solutions and how they can be used by students to construct their learning and teachers to enhance the way they communicate.
